Vincent downs Sulligent

The Vincent Yellow Jackets clinched a spot in the Class 2A regional tournament for the sixth consecutive year in a row with a 76-41 sub-regional win over Sulligent Feb. 15 at Vincent.

The Yellow Jackets (23-6) took control of the game early when they took a 26-9 lead after the first quarter. Vincent added 24 points in the second to secure a 51-19 lead at the half.

E.J. Datcher led Vincent with 20 points while Anterio Rogers added 19 points with a team-high nine steals and five assists. Jamal McCrimon scored 11 points with eight rebounds while Jay Hamilton led the Yellow Jackets with 10 rebounds with six points.

Vincent will take on Tanner Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m. on the campus of Wallace State Community College in Hanceville.
