Hornets defeat Westminster School Knights

The Chelsea Hornets scored three unanswered goals to take a 3-1 victory over the Westminster School of Oak Mountain Knights Feb. 23.

The Knights scored the first goal of the game on a penalty kick after a Hornet defender was called for a foul inside the box to take a 1-0 lead.

Chelsea senior Cody Hood tied the game 1-1 when he took a rebound off a Tony Thompson shot with less than 18 minutes to go in the half. The Hornets added a goal just before the half when Will Bevill scored off a Camilo Cangrejo throw-in for a 2-1 Chelsea lead.

Taylor Martindale scored the final Chelsea goal in the second half when he scored on a shot at the top of the 18-yard box.
