Civic Complex hosting parenting, special needs expos

The Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena will host a pair of events in March and April designed to support local parents.

On Saturday, March 9 Birmingham Parent will host it’s 20th-annual Camp Expo at the Civic Complex from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The free event will provide families information on travel, health issues, volunteer opportunities, education and more, according to Birminghamparent.com.

The event also will feature a fun zone with free activities, and will provide information on day camps, activity camps, summer and spring break activities for “children ages toddler to college,” according to the website.

On Saturday, April 13 Birmingham Parent will also hold its 2013 Special Needs expo from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The free event will give children and adults with special needs a chance to learn about support groups, products, recreational activities, health care, therapy and more.
