Robert “Bobby” Ingram, age 84, of Montevallo passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at his home.

Bobby served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from U.S. Steel after 33 years of service, and then became a self-employed carpenter. Bobby was a member of Masonic Lodge #70, and an elder of Spring Creek C.P. Church for many years. He loved baseball, gardening, music and his dogs. Bobby was a great husband and dad, and a beloved member of the Spring Creek Community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert D. and Alice McLaughlin Ingram; brother, Sydney Jack Ingram (Pauline); sisters, Helen Driggers (Albert), Elizabeth Goad (William), Martha Knowles and June Johnson (Tom); and granddaughter, Shannon Ingram.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Taff Ingram; sons, Robert Earl Ingram (Vic), Benjamin Wayne Ingram (Debbie), Richard Lynn Ingram (Deb) and Eric Jason Ingram; sister, Anne Hood (Bill); four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Spring Creek C.P. Church. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the church with Dr. Scott Fowler officiating. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery.
