Shelby County rallies in seventh past Jemison

Shelby County’s Austin Rogers scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh for a 4-3 Wildcats’ win over Jemison Feb. 28.

The Wildcats trailed 3-0 after two innings of play, but cut the deficit to one with 2-run single by Kyle Cofer in the fifth for a 3-2 Jemison lead.

Luke Miller scored on a Jemison error in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game 3-3. Rogers came off the bench to pinch run, and stole second to get into scoring position. Jacob Tidmore drove Rogers home on a single to left to end the game in walk-off fashion.

Jacob Pennington picked up the win while pitching a complete game. Brody Moore and Tidmore led the Wildcats with a 2-for-3 efforts from the plate.
