Vincent rallies past Ramsay

The Vincent Yellow Jackets outscored Ramsay 9-0 in the last three innings to take a 15-6 victory to cap a two-game set at Vincent March 9.

Vincent (5-6) took a 6-4 lead after scoring five runs in the bottom of the third, but Ramsay evened the score with a pair of runs in the fourth. The Yellow Jackets responded with five runs in the fifth and four in the sixth to seal the victory.

Hayden Laddie picked up the win allowing three earned runs on nine hits with four strikeouts.

Michael Gilham and Ryan Kelow each went 2-for-3 for Vincent with a double and three RBIs.

Vincent began the day with a 6-1 extra inning loss to the Montevallo Bulldogs. Montevallo scored five runs in the ninth to claim the victory.

DJ Brasher allowed three earned runs on eight hits in eight innings of work while striking out five batters in the loss for Vincent. Montevallo’s Matthew Parker pitched five and two-thirds innings and allowed one run on two hits in the victory.

Daniel Hawkins went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored to lead Vincent. Trevor Chatham led Montevallo batting 3-for-5 with two runs scored.
