On March 12, Talladega County authorities notified the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office that a deceased male had been discovered along the side of a county road. Until official identification is made on the body, investigators will continue to follow all leads in the McGlothan case, according to a sheriff’s office press release.

McGlothan is a 5-foot-6 black male weighing approximately 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue plaid shirt and jeans, according to a sheriff’s office press release.

Investigators believe he left his home by choice and was likely picked up by a friend. Anyone with information about McGlothan or his whereabouts is urged to contact the sheriff’s office at 669-4181, through the Secret Witness line at 669-9116 or through ShelbySO.com by clicking on the “Report Criminal Activity” link and choosing the “General Information” category.
