L. M. “Preacher” Greene, age 92, of Vincent, died March 13, 2013. Preacher was a World War II veteran and a past fire chief of the Vincent Volunteer Fire Department.

Visitation is March 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Harpersville. Graveside service is March 16 at 11 a.m. at Arkwright Cemetery in Vincent.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Greene; son, Charles Greene; and great-grandchild, Colt Greene.

He is survived by his three sons, James Earl Greene (Trisha), Terry Greene (Becky) and Gerald Greene (Robbie); two daughters, Sue Roberson (Don) and Evelyn McAllister (Ray); daughter-in-law, Pam Greene; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
