Virgil McDonald, age 80, of Columbiana, passed away on March 14, 2013. Funeral service is at 11 a.m. on March 16 at Apostolic Truth Center with Rev. Gary Beane officiating. Burial will follow in Old Shelby Cemetery. Visitation is March 16 from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. McDonald is preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce McDonald. He is survived by his wife, Betty McDonald; daughter, Sandra Connell (John); step-children, Jimmy Wayne McDonald, William Ingram, Faye Schrader (Jim) and Betty Irene Davis; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pinkie McDonald and Frances Higgins; brother, Tommy McDonald (Judy); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
