The Pelham Panthers softball team allowed one run in two games to win the Orange and Black Classic hosted by Hoover High School March 23.

Pelham (18-2) began the tournament with a 1-0 victory over Alabama Christian Academy. Whitney Gillespie allowed one hit along with 11 strikeouts and a walk in the victory. Gillespie finished the game batting 1-for-3 with a RBI while Kristian Foster was 1-for-3 with a run scored.

The Pelham offense accounted for 12 hits in a 11-1 victory over Pleasant Home to win the tournament. Caitlyn Sapp went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a RBI and Madi Walker went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Foster added a 2-for-4 effort with a double and two RBIs.

Rebekah Fox allowed one run on three hits with a strikeout in the win for the Panthers.
