Deborah Sue Cartwright

Columbiana

Deborah Sue Cartwright of Columbiana passed away peacefully at the home of her parents on March 23, at the age of 53.

Deborah is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Kevin Cartwright. They were married in East Liverpool, Ohio, on Aug. 30, 1980.

Deborah is lovingly remembered by her parents, Tom and Becky Jackson; and her brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Shelly Jackson of Birmingham.

She left a huge hole in the hearts of her three brothers-in-law, their wives and extended family members and will surely be missed by close friends made from Alabama to Toronto and Philly to Phoenix.

Everyone who knew Deborah knew that she loved being in the kitchen and had a great passion for cooking. She also loved heaping tons of love and affection on her many nieces and nephews and enjoyed every moment with them. She always wished that she was closer in miles so she could spend more time with them all.

The visitation will be held at Charter Funeral Home at 2521 U.S. Hwy 31, Calera, AL on March 28 from 5-6 p.m. for family and from 6-8 p.m. for friends.

A service of remembrance will be held at same location on March 29 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, we welcome everyone to participate in a Memorial Garden being constructed at her parent’s home in Montevallo. Donations may be made directly to the family or by gift certificates for “Deborah’s Memorial” by contacting Petals from the Past in Jemison at (205) 646-0069 or by visiting the website at PetalsfromthePast.com.

Condolences for the family may be offered online on her Caring Bridge page at Caringbridge.org/visit/deborahcartwright.
