The Alabaster Police Department is investigating a string of recent car burglaries on Kent Dairy Road and Shelby County 17, and is asking for anyone with information on the incidents to call the department.

Police received reports of several car burglaries in neighborhoods off Kent Dairy Road and Shelby County 17 on March 17. According to incident reports, several of the car burglaries occurred on Carriage Drive, which is near the intersection of the two roads in western Alabaster.

Police said several items were stolen from vehicles during the string of burglaries, including Oakley and Costa Del Mar sunglasses, compact discs, currency and a firearm.

The department is asking anyone with information on the incidents to call the department at 663-7401.
