Hip-hop artist Lil Wayne will kick off his summer tour at Pelham’s Oak Mountain Amphitheatre on July 9, according to a post on the venue’s Facebook page on March 27.

Lil Wayne will kick off the 2013 America’s Most Wanted Music Festival at the Amphitheatre with special guests T.I. and Future. As of March 28, ticket sale dates and performance times had not been announced.

The July 9 performance will kick off Lil Wayne’s 40-show summer tour, which will run through September 1.

“We are excited about this show, and think it will do really well,” said Amphitheatre General Manager Patrick Boone.

Lil Wayne is the most recent addition to the Amphitheatre’s 2013 schedule, which also includes an April 6 performance by the Dave Matthews Band, an April 27 performance by Alan Jackson, a May 2 concert by Tim McGraw, July 19-20 performances by Widespread Panic and an Aug. 22 concert by Keith Urban.
