The Spain Park Lady Jags chipped away at an early deficit to take a 4-3 area victory over Chelsea in extra innings April 2.

Chelsea took a 3-1 lead in the third, but Spain Park (18-12) responded with runs in the fourth and fifth to send the game into an extra inning. Madi Gipson hit an RBI single to score Brittany Anderson to give the Lady Jags the win.

Julie Knight picked up the win allowing three hits with two strikeouts and four walks. Mary Beth Glass led Spain Park batting 3-for-4 with two doubles and a RBI. Gipson finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs.

Caiti Davis took the loss for Chelsea pitching all eight innings while allowing four runs on eight hits. JoJo Johnson finished the game 3-for-3 with a run for the Hornets.
