The Calera Eagles softball team battled West Blocton to a scoreless tie heading into the bottom of the seventh, but fell after West Blocton scored on a wild pitch for a 1-0 win.

Emily Sanders took the loss while allowing one run on six hits with a strikeout and a walk.

Shelby Clark and Skyler Laird led Calera with each having 2-for-3 efforts from the plate.
