Oak Mountain holds off Chelsea

The Oak Mountain Eagles softball team jumped out to an 8-0 lead and held off a late Chelsea Hornets rally for an 8-4 victory April 10.

Anna Thomaston pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run on six hits with seven strikeouts and a walk for the win for Oak Mountain. McKenzie Ridgeway led the Eagles with a 2-for-3 effort with two RBIs while Ashlee Sanders went 2-for-5 with a double.

Alexis Eisenberg took the loss for Chelsea allowing five runs on nine hits with a strikeout and three walks. Erin Jones went 2-for-3 with a RBI to lead Chelsea.
