PRC to host USTA Kids Day clinic

The Pelham Racquet Club will hold a USTA Kids Day tennis clinic as a part of the Legacy Credit Union Women’s $25,000 Pro Circuit Challenger tournament April 12.

The free clinic will begin at 5 p.m., but participants are encouraged to arrive between 4:30-5 p.m. to check in. The clinic is open to children between the ages of 5-10 and 11-18 years old.

Tennis professionals from Pelham and the surround Birmingham-metro tennis clubs will provide instruction.

Participants in the event will receive prices and free food after the clinic and are invited to stay for feature matches following the clinic.

“We are want to introduce new kids to tennis,” said USPTA Level 1Certified Pro Rusty Wilkes on the goal of the clinic.
