The Vincent Yellow Jackets softball team kept up with Homewood through five innings of play, but the Patriots scored a run on a passed ball in the sixth for a 9-8 victory April 13 at the Montevallo tournament.

Courtney Barber took the loss for Vincent allowing an unearned run on no hits with two strikeouts and a walk in one inning of relief.

Ashlynn Melton led the Yellow Jackets batting 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
