Calera

William H. Green, of Calera, born March 12, 1926, died on April 14, 2013. A longtime resident of Calera, died in the home of his son, where he resided. Mr. Green was a World War II veteran and served in two separate branches of the military during the war.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Christine Martin Green; his sons, Richard A. and John Junior Green. He is survived by his sons, Rickey H. Green of Calera, Roger Lynn Green and Jimmy Lee Green of Kaufman, Texas; grandsons, Shane, Wayne and Lane Green of Calera and James and Roger Green Jr. of Kaufman, Texas; granddaughters, Kathy Green Pavatt, Christina Green Wells and Angie Green of Kaufman, Texas; fifteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held on April 17 at 11 a.m. at Rock Creek Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends April 16 from 5-8 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home. Friends may send condolences to Bessemerbrownfh.com.
