The Shelby County Reporter has confirmed that Montevallo resident Sally Evenden is safe following the explosions at the Boston Marathon April 15.

Evenden’s husband, Dr. Daniel Valentine, said that his wife was safe after finishing the marathon 15 minutes before the explosions occurred at the finish line. Evenden’s official time posted by the Boston Athletic Association was 3:59:56.
