Lula L. Fowler, age 84, of Vincent, died April 16, 2013, at her residence. Graveside services will be April 18 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel on April 17 from 5-8 p.m. with burial in Mt. Signal Cemetery. Rev. Jason Allums officiating.

She is survived by her sons, James Kenneth Shirley of Talladega and Jimmy Lee Shirley of Chelsea; daughter, Rita Frances Hassett of Vincent; brothers, Harold Rich of Westover and Larry Rich of Chelsea; sisters, Rachel Leeman of Helena, Susie Hill of Goodwater and Thelma Lombardi of Massachusetts; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by husband, Jerome Fowler; and son, Jackie Ray Shirley.

Pallbearers are James Kenneth Shirley, Jimmy Lee Shirley, Brian Lee Shirley, Jason Lyn Shirley, William Daniel Hassett and Noah Lane Oliver.
