An organization working to help Shelby County law enforcement officers, firefighters and their families is looking for sponsors and participants for its upcoming golf tournament.

The four-man-team tournament will be held on May 9 at Pelham’s Ballantrae Golf Club, and will benefit the Philip Mahan Davis Foundation. The foundation was founded in memory of Pelham police officer Philip Davis, who was shot and killed during a traffic stop on Interstate 65 in Pelham in December 2009.

Registration will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a box lunch and a noon shotgun start. Team registration fees are $384, and individual registration fees are $96. Deadline for registration is Tuesday, April 30.

Several levels of tournament sponsorship also are available. Level 1 sponsorship is $200, and includes a tee and green sponsor sign.

Level 2 sponsorship is $500, and includes a tee and green sponsor sign and free entry for one team. Level 3 sponsorship is $750, and includes a tee and green sponsor sign, free entry for one team and two rounds of golf at Ballantrae.

Title sponsorship is $1,500, and includes a tee and green sponsor sign, free entry for one team, four rounds of golf at Ballantrae and a banner at the tournament’s registration. Registration deadline for sponsors is Tuesday, April 30.

All proceeds will benefit Shelby County law enforcement officers, firefighters and their families.
