Edith Dobbs Moore, 94, of Alabaster died Sunday, April 28, 2013. She was born on Saturday, July 20, 1918, in Chilton County, daughter of the late James Alpha Dobbs and the late Zora Mae Ray Dobbs. She was a homemaker. Edith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are son, Roger Moore (Judy); daughter, Joyce Powell (John); grandchildren, Frank Punch (Melissa), Donna Hannum (Josh), Thomas Moore (Cindy), Dana Gordon (Shannon), Diane Barrett (Shannon) and Haley Moore; great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Emma Punch, Amy, Maggie, Caroline and Olivia Hannum, Chase and Dylan Moore, Luke and Abby Gordon and Austin and Blake Barrett; step great-grandchild, Rachael Greene.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Moore.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. on May 2 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held on May 2 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Payton officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton.
