The Friends of the North Shelby Library will host a yard sale fundraiser and preview party to benefit the library’s summer reading program.

The “Giant Yard Sale Fundraiser will be Saturday, May 11 from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. at the North Shelby Library, 5521 Cahaba Valley Road, Birmingham.

The organization is currently seeking donations for the fundraiser. Donations will be accepted at the North Shelby Library at the following dates: Wednesday, May 8 from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., Thursday, May 9 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Friday, May 10 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Suggested donations include toys, furniture, bikes, kitchen and housewares, home décor, tools, accessories, luggage, books, seasonal/holiday items, camping/outdoor gear and sports equipment. The organization will not accept clothes, shoes, computers, mattresses, cribs or car seats.

A preview show and sale will be Friday, May 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the library. Admission is $25 and includes a $5 coupon for the yard sale and membership in the Friends of the North Shelby Library.
