The Alabama Department of Transportation will continue lane closures on Alabama 119 between Pelham and U.S. 280 this week to perform repaving operations.

Crews will close portions of the road from 7 p.m.-6 a.m. each night from May 20-23. The Alabama 119 lane closures will take place between Interstate 65 exit 246 in Pelham and U.S. 280 in Hoover.

“Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival and departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs and use extreme caution in this area,” read an ALDOT road advisory. “ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this construction operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.”
