Sharon K. Ihle, age 70, of Shelby, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 3, at Bolton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Alabama National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana.

She was born in Beloit, Wis., graduated from Beloit High School and then earned her B.S. degree in dietetics from Stout State University in Menomonie, Wis. After a career in dietetics, she spent the remainder of her life raising her family.

She was a loving and giving mother and a godly woman, and a loving wife to her husband, David Ihle, of 46 years. She was loved by all who knew her. Her enjoyments included cooking, planning playful events with her granddaughters, contributing to the Auburn youth soccer organizations and anything to do with Auburn.

Mrs. Ihle is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Sarah Lee; and her father, Arthur Krueger.

Mrs. Ihle is survived by her husband, David Ihle; children, Marcus Ihle (Kristen), Craig Ihle (Gillian); grandchildren, Haven, Gretchen and Jocelyn; sister, Cheryl Robinson (Butch); and other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
