The Alabama Department of Transportation will close portions of Interstate 65 and U.S. 280 during the week of June 10-14.

From the night of June 10 through the night of June 13, ALDOT will close portions of Interstate 65 along its entire length in Shelby County from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. each night. During the project, ALDOT will be repairing guardrails along the interstate.

“This work will require a single lane closure, which may cause delays in the area of the work,” read an ALDOT road advisory posted on June 7.

The agency also will be closing portions of U.S. 280 from Chelsea westward to Double Oak Mountain. ALDOT also will be repairing guardrails along the highway during the project.

The U.S. 280 project will cause a single lane to be closed during the nighttime hours of June 10-June 13.

Beginning on Sunday, June 9, ALDOT also will be closing one lane of Alabama 119 between Pelham and U.S. 280 from 7 p.m.-6 a.m. The lane closures will run through the night of Tuesday, June 11, according to an ALDOT road advisory.
