Pelham residents will have their third chance to share opinions on the possibility of a city school system during a Monday, July 8 town hall meeting, the city announced on June 17.

The town hall meeting will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. in the banquet side of the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena.

During the meeting, Pelham residents will have a chance to voice their thoughts on the possibility of Pelham breaking away from the Shelby County School System to form its own city school district.

The July 8 meeting will come a little more than a month after Dr. Ira Harvey with the Decision Resources firm unveiled the findings of a Pelham school system feasibility study.

The Pelham City Council also held public hearings on the matter during its June 3 and June 17 meetings.
