Parents of students at Alabaster’s Thompson High School will be able to save time at registration by printing and filling out enrollment packets from the Alabaster City Schools website.

The upcoming school year will mark the first for the upstart Alabaster City School System, as ACS is scheduled to finalize its split with the Shelby County School System on July 1.

Alabaster City Schools will use the same enrollment packet used by the Shelby County School System for the 2013-2014 school year “to ensure a smooth transition this first year,” according to the ACS Facebook page.

The THS registration packets are available at Images.pcmac.org/uploads/sites/20/AlabasterCitySD/AlabasterCitySD/Sites/PagesLevel1/Documents/Thompson%20High%20School%20Enrollment%20Packet.pdf.

Parents are encouraged to fill out the forms for each child attending THS and bring the forms to summer schedule pickup.

Summer schedule pickup for incoming seniors is at the school on Monday, Aug. 5 from 8-11 a.m., and schedule pickup for juniors is Aug. 5 from 1-4 p.m.

Schedule pickup for incoming sophomores is at the school on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 8-11 a.m., and incoming freshmen can pick up their schedules on Aug. 6 from 1-4 p.m.

Parents and students must be present at the summer schedule pickup session. Parents must bring two proofs of residence displaying the parent or guardian’s name and physical address before registering at the school.

Those unable to attend the summer schedule pickup can register at the school on the first day of classes on Aug. 19.
