Hoover Police investigating bank robbery

HOOVER — The Hoover Police Department is investigating a July 11 bank robbery in Inverness.

According to a Hoover Police press release, an unknown suspect robbed the Regions Bank at 102 Inverness Plaza for an undetermined amount of currency.

The suspect is described as a black male of medium build, about 6 feet tall, wearing a black and gray warmup suit with a black toboggan, sunglasses, braids and black and white tennis shoes.

The suspect fled the scene on foot going west on U.S. 280. It is unknown if he has a weapon, according to the press release.
