Alabama 25 was closed at both directions at the Bibb and Shelby County line at 12:45 p.m. due to a motor vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer truck, according to a press release from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

Shelby County and Bibb County deputies and Alabama State troopers are on the scene helping victims. The road will be closed for an unknown length of time, according to the press release.

Motorists are encouraged to find alternate travel routes as no traffic is going to be allowed through the scene of the accident. Motorists in the area are also asked to use caution and watch for first responders in the area.
