Austin Ray Holsomback, age 18, of Montevallo went to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 28, 2013. He was born on June 25, 1995, in Birmingham. His parents are Bobby and Lisa Holsomback.

Austin went to Montevallo High School. His favorite thing to do was to be behind the wheel of his racecar racing down the track – in first place, of course. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He loved hanging out with his buddies and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his dad and mom, Bobby and Lisa Holsomback; grandfather, Billy Holsomback from Montevallo; grandmother, Shirley Burrill from Montevallo; grandparents, Joe and Coonie Roberts from Denham Springs, La.; uncles, Rodney Roberts (Melissa) from Calera and Jimmy Roberts (Pam) from Alabaster; aunts, Candy Riddle (Chad) and Bonnie Stone, each of Sylacauga; 10 cousins; and one great cousin.

Anyone that knew Austin loved him, and all of his jokes. He had numerous friends that were there for him day and night.

Visitation will be held on July 31 at Dogwood Grove Baptist Church from 6-8 p.m. for friends. Funeral services will be held on Aug. 1 at Dogwood Grove Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Todd Burr officiating his services. Austin will lie-in-state one hour prior to his service. Burial will follow in the Ryans Cemetery Montevallo.
