Dorothy Jean Edwards, age 75, of Vincent, passed away on Aug. 27, 2013, at Noland Hospital.

Visitation will be at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel on Aug. 28 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Aug. 29 at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel with Rev. Mike Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Vincent Cemetery.

Dorothy is survived by daughters, Patricia I. Castleberry (Lloyd) of Pell City and Elizabeth Ann Taylor (Les R.) of Vincent; sons, Leonard Clifton Edwards Jr. of Vincent, John Alvin Edwards (Mary) of Vincent and James Franklin Edwards of Cropwell; brothers, Thomas E. Mims (Joyce) of Vincent and Joe Mims of Vincent; sisters, Mary K. Isbell (Willard) of Vincent and Janice M. Castleberry (Jim) of Vincent; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by husband, Leonard Clifton Edwards Sr.; son-in-law, Lloyd Castleberry; great-granddaughter, Angelia Campbell; and sister, Daisy P. Mims. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
