Imogene (Jean) Tucker Thomason

Imogene (Jean) Tucker Thomason, age 92, made her way home on Sept. 30, 2013. She was a faithful servant of God and a longtime member of Concord Baptist Church. Jean was a loving wife, mother and granny.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William Jones Thomason.

She is survived by their daughter, Brenda T. Knowles of Chelsea; three grandchildren, Kristina Knowles of Chelsea, Bill F. Knowles Jr. of Alabaster and Kathy Knowles Turner (Tommy) of Chelsea; six great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica and Ben Knowles, Colton, Cade and Chanlee Turner.

Visitation was held on Oct. 3 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church in Calera with the funeral service following. Burial was at Shelby Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Concord Baptist Church Building Fund. Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo, directed.
