Those driving on U.S. 31 and I-65 in Calera, Hoover and Alabaster during the nighttime hours this week could see some delays, as the Alabama Department of Transportation will continue to repave the road.

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, crews began closing portions of U.S. 31 between I-65 exit 231 in Calera and exit 238 in Alabaster to continue repaving the stretch of highway. All lanes of U.S. 31 were reopened by 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14.

The portion of U.S. 31 will see lane closures during the same times each night through the night of Thursday, Oct. 17.
