MT LAUREL — Coosa Riverkeeper will host its second seasonal beer dinner of the year, Cheers to the Coosa, Nov. 7 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Stone’s Throw Bar & Grill.

The farm-to-table dining event will highlight local produce from Heron Hollow Farm & Mt. Laurel Farm prepared by chef Chris Harrigan of Stone’s Throw. The dinner will include four seasonal courses paired with beers from Alabama and Georgia breweries. The featured breweries are Terrapin Brewing Co., Back 40 Beer Co., Avondale Brewing Co., and Good People Brewing Co.

Main course options include Southern Catfish, 48-Hour Braised Beef Short Ribs or Vegetarian Herbed Pappardelle Pasta. A full menu listing is available online at www.coosariver.org/stonesthrow.

Coosa Riverkeeper, a citizen-based nonprofit dedicated to protecting, restoring and promoting the Coosa River, launched the Cheers to the Coosa series in an effort to raise awareness about the connection between food and water, said Justinn Overton, Coosa Riverkeeper executive director.

“We are so excited to host our second beer dinner of the year in the Coosa Valley of Alabama and especially looking forward to serving produce grown in the watershed,” Overton said.

Tickets are $75 each and are available for purchase online at www.coosariver.org/stonesthrow. A price break is available for multiple tickets. Each ticket includes tip, gratuity and a one-year membership to Coosa Riverkeeper.
