A 19-year-old woman who was reported missing in Pelham on Oct. 24 has been located safely, Pelham Police Department Lt. Pete Folmar said one day after the department asked for the public’s help in finding the woman.

“Ms. Hastings was located this date by investigators from Pelham (Police Department). She was safe and healthy and is now with her family,” Folmer wrote in an email on Oct. 30. “Thank you to all the Birmingham area media outlets who assisted us in this case.”

The Pelham Police Department asked for the public’s help in locating the woman, who had been missing since Oct. 24.

According to information released by the department on Oct. 29, 19-year-old Reba Joanne Hastings had been missing from her place of employment in Pelham since about 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 24.

“Ms. Hastings was scheduled to work until 6 p.m. that day, but was discovered to be missing at approximately 4:50 p.m.,” read a police department press release issued on Oct. 29.

Hastings was last seen wearing a fluorescent yellow hooded jacket, a light blue T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes with pink laces.

Police described her as being 5-feet-4-inches tall, about 123 pounds and having short blonde hair and brown eyes.
