Hoover Christmas tree lighting set for Dec. 2

HOOVER — The city of Hoover’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony is set for Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. at Hoover City Hall.

Santa Claus will make his grand entrance on a fire truck and take photographs with children. In addition, the Trace Crossings Elementary School fourth grade choir and the Alabama Dance Academy will perform. Refreshments will be provided.

This year’s tree lighters are Greystone Elementary School fifth-grader Christian Houston and Brock’s Gap Intermediate School sixth-grader Cooper Tullo.

Due to the tree lighting ceremony, the Hoover City Council’s regular meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. Municipal Lane will close at 4 p.m. and parking will be available at the Hoover Public Library.
