The CSX railroad company is no longer planning to close a railroad crossing on Stonehaven Trail in Pelham from Dec. 11-12.

On Dec. 10, Pelham announced CSX had canceled its plans to close the railroad crossing, which serves as an access road from U.S. 31 to several subdivisions in Pelham and Helena, on the two days.

Pelham Executive Administrative Assistant Paula Holly said CSX has not yet announced a new date to close the crossing for repairs, but said the Pelham Police Department will set up electronic message boards notifying drivers when a new date is confirmed.
