Santa Claus will make the trip from the North Pole to Alabaster’s Albert L. Scott Public Library on Dec. 17-18 during a pair of holiday-themed events.

Santa’s first visit will be on Tuesday, Dec. 17 during the library’s “An Evening with Santa” event.

An Evening with Santa will begin at 6:15 p.m., but Santa’s visit will take place in the library’s meeting room from 6:30-7:15 p.m. During the event, Santa and Mrs. Claus will hear children’s Christmas wishes, and will offer opportunities for parents to take photos.

All children must be accompanied by an adult during the event.

The next day, the library will host its annual holiday party from 10-11:30 a.m.

During the party, Santa will again be on hand for pictures and visits with children, and the library will offer gingerbread man craft sessions and horse-drawn carriage rides. The Santa visits and gingerbread man crafts will be held in the library’s meeting room, and carriage ride tickets will be given out in the library’s lobby.

For more information on the pair of events, call the library at 664-6822.
