Lois Parker Major, age 93, of Columbiana, passed away at her residence on Dec. 12, 2013. Visitation will be held at Curtis and Son North Chapel Dec. 14 from 10-11 a.m. She will be buried in Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Buster Timmons will officiate the services.

Mrs. Major’s survivors include sons, Evan K. Major Jr.  (Linda) of Columbiana, Lee Major (Sharon) of West Blocton and David Parker Major (Rosa) of Alex City; brother, Lenville Parker of Peachtree City, Ga.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She and her late husband, Evan Major, were charter members of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and long time residents of Sylacauga.

Pallbearers will be Fred Major, Christopher Major, Jason Major, Kevin Major, Gabriel Major and Richard Sturm.  Honorary pallbearers will be Melonie Major Sturm, Anna Elizabeth Major, Zack Major, Parker Sturm, Michael Sturm, Audrey Major, Caroline Major and Bradley Major.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Skillet Bird Fund for Needy Children at Columbiana United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 676, North Main Street, Columbiana, AL 35051 or your favorite charity.
