Six Falcons earn conference All-Academic honors

A conference-leading six members of the University of Montevallo volleyball team were recognized following the release of the Peach Belt Conference All-Academic team and honorable mention selections Dec. 13.

Seniors Michelle Carle and Kaleigh Harvey, along with sophomores Rebekah Phelps, Anna Quinn and Jessica Falletta, were each named to the conference’s All-Academic team. Senior Manyi Ati was named a honorable mention selection.

Carle, a Sugar Land, Texas native, currently owns a 3.66 GPA and is graduating this month with a degree in speech pathology. Carle was also a conference All-Academic honorable mention selection following her sophomore and junior seasons at Montevallo.

Harvey, a Katy, Texas native, currently owns a 3.65 GPA and will graduate in the spring with a degree in kinesiology. Harvey was also a conference All-Academic honorable mention selection following her junior season at Montevallo.

Phelps, a Huntsville, Ala. native, is majoring in education and currently owns a 4.00 grade-point average. Quinn, a Hoover, Ala. native, is majoring in biology and currently owns a 4.00 GPA.

Falletta, a Hoschton, Ga. native, currently owns a 4.00 GPA and is undecided on a major.

Ati, a Lawrenceville, Ga. native, currently owns a 3.36 GPA and is graduating in December with a double degree in psychology and human services.
