Dan Brantley

Dan Brantley, age 70, of Montevallo, born Oct. 5, 1943, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 24. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Dan is preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Hayes. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy Brantley; children, Candace Roberson (Mike) and Dane Brantley (Dana); five grandchildren, Brantley Warren (Jonathan), Brooke Roberson, Phillip Brantley, Sarah Brantley and Somer Roberson; one great-grandchild, Harper Warren; brother, Wayne Brantley; sisters, Ellen Scott and Shirley Blackerby. Dan was the founder and owner of Brantley Electric Company, a graduate of Jemison High School and Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

His visitation will be on Dec. 29 from 5-8 p.m. for friends. Graveside service will be held on Dec. 30 at 1:15 p.m. at The Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Rev. Evie Megginson and Rev. Steve Johnson to officiate his services. Donations may be made instead of flowers to Shady Grove Baptist Church, 113 Shady Grove Loop Randolph, AL 36792.
