Donald Carl Reynolds, Dec. 3, 1925-Jan. 3, 2014.

Don Reynolds peacefully passed away, surrounded by loved ones, early Jan. 3 to begin his eternal life as a citizen of Heaven. He joined his beloved wife and true companion, Bessie Reynolds, whom he faithfully loved and honored for 65 years. His was a Spirit of God, clothed in humbleness and purity of heart, and he lived the life of a true man: strong in his faith, courageous and, above all, loving. He bravely served in combat as a United States Marine during the Second World War and returned to respectfully build and provide for a family that he proudly loved and led which included four children left to honor his memory: Donnie Sue Spears (Steve), Thomas Reynolds (Diane), Jan Young (Geoff) and Jill Denning (Robert); as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless other loved ones. He was the last of 12 children to join his cherished parents, Thomas J. and Eva Pearl Randall Reynolds, in death.

A man of charm and ingenuity, his legacy of wisdom and righteousness will live on in all those whose lives he touched with his counsel and compassion.

Services will be held on Jan. 8 at Enon Baptist Church in Montevallo and officiated by Brother Bill Trawick. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral services immediately following. Burial will be at Reynolds – Randall Cemetery in Montevallo.
