James “Jimbo” Church, age 56, of Brierfield, passed away on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at his home. Jimbo loved to fish with his partner nephew, Cameron Hyde. He is preceded in death by his father, John Church; daughter, Ashley Church; and brother, David Brown.

Surviving relatives includes his loving wife of 25 years Alicia (Holcombe) Church; mother, Sue Jackson; daughter, Christie Brooks; sons, Jason Church and Justin Holcombe; grandchildren, Ryan Whitfield, Breanna Whitfield, and Tate Sudsberry; brothers and sisters, Danny Church, Rick Church, Curtis Church, Bob Brown, Johnny Brown, Sonya, Jo Ann Hawthorne and Sonny Santiago; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral services will be held on Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. in the Rockco Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Rev. Jeff Holsomback will officiate the service.
