MONTEVALLO – The dedication of the National Veterans Shrine at the American Village will be Monday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m.

The Jan. 8 issue of the Shelby County Reporter incorrectly listed Sunday, Jan. 12 as the date of the dedication.

The National Veterans Shrine will be a replica of Philadelphia’s Carpenter’s Hall, the building where the first Continental Congress met. The interior will feature sculptures and paintings by nationally renowned artists and interactive media, artifacts and exhibits showcasing the service and sacrifice of the American military.
