MT LAUREL — Mt Laurel author and attorney Steven P. Gregory will sign copies of his debut mystery novel, “Cold Winter Rain,” at the Mt Laurel Library Jan. 25 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Gregory will read from his novel, which will be available for purchase during the event. Refreshments also will be served.

According to Gregory’s website,  “‘Cold Winter Rain’ draws from both the hard-boiled detective and legal thriller genres and is intended as the first in a series.”

A north Georgia native, Gregory earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from the University of Alabama in the early 1980s.  Gregory worked as a stockbroker before earning a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Alabama.

Gregory practiced law for more than 20 years and defended a couple of clients facing capital murder charges.

“He finds writing about murder much less stressful,” Gregory’s website reads.

“Cold Winter Rain” also is available on Amazon as e-book and paperback.
