HOOVER — Hoover City Schools will be closed for students and instructional personnel Friday, Jan. 31 as the Birmingham metro area continues to recover from Tuesday’s winter storm, according to a news release.

Hoover City Schools’ Central Office will be open Jan. 31, but local school officers will be closed. Principals will direct their staffs in reporting for essential services.
