The Shelby County and Alabaster school systems have announced they will be closed again on Friday, Jan. 31, due to continuing issues from the winter storm.

Jan. 31 will mark the third-straight day the county’s schools have been closed after a winter storm caused widespread travel issues throughout the Birmingham metropolitan area on Jan. 28.
