Bertie Smith “Peggy” Talton, age 92, of Sylacauga, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Feb. 3, at Bolton Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Hughston officiating with burial to follow in Williams Cemetery. Visitation was from 1-2 p.m. Feb. 3 at the Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Mrs. Talton is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Talton; daughter, Carolyn Snow; parents, Bennett and Ethel Seale Smith; and two brothers and and two sisters.

She is survived by her children, Wynona Ann Nicholson (Howard) and Joyce Chambless (Paul); grandchildren, Leroy Nicholson, Steve Nicholson, Ricky Nicholson, David Nicholson, Theresa Hughston, Carol Dasher, Keith Hattaway and Pam Munn; 13 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
